Let's get straight to the point
Honestly, I don't want to ramble on with a "I've done this and that, blah blah blah" presentation, because that doesn't benefit you, and I've already moved past that self-centered phase of, "Hey! I released a song, look how special I am, pay attention to me."
That's why the only thing I'm going to mention is that, yes, I'm in my early thirties, and I've been tinkering with things in a DAW since I was 15 or 16. I've released various international projects under the pseudonym Lagware, all with different results. My name is José, but I prefer to go by Josal. All of that has obviously given me an experience that it was high time to share.
Lagware was born as a project intended to represent my taste in music oriented toward science fiction, darkness, strange textures, etc. This was all wrapped up in an aura of anonymous, slightly mysterious (and, why not say it, a little stupid) mysticism—the whole trend when I started. You know: dark, blurry photos, black clothes....
The thing is, it's a project I really like, but the direction isn't right. Essentially, my destiny seemed to be a Techno DJ, and I don't even like the nightlife. So, after a lot of soul-searching and turning to other sources of inspiration like B-Movies and futuristic video games, I thought, "Wait a minute, what if I made music for audiovisual projects?"
So, here we are, with this new direction, and I'm ready to participate in projects with deep, cool stories that need background noise to support their arguments.
