The Gilded Cage
by lagWare
Everyone has their own way of seeing the world, and mine is quite pessimistic regarding the human-technology relationship.
Some say that transhumanism is getting closer every day; the more conspiratorially minded claim that there are already modified humans with superior capabilities among us.
To me, it's a fantasy that's getting closer every day, but a fantasy nonetheless. That is why I created the project The Gilded Cage, where, through a series of 5 tracks and videos adapted to the music, I want to represent my idea of the future, transhumanism, AI, destruction, and reconstruction.

Project 'Red Sandstone'
by lagWare
Project 'Red Sandstone' is my most important project to date. With it, I try to represent what a human incursion onto the red planet could be like something implausible with today's technology, but which I personally find fascinating and incredibly curious. The song titles narrate the journey, from Cape Canaveral to the arrival and exploration of Mars.
Should we reflect on these kinds of topics? I believe so, but not only delegating it to the technology magnates who treat it as if it were the new toy in which to put huge amounts of money, but as a realistic alternative to consider if we want the human race to endure and expand.
This project was released thanks to the great work of the record label Axis Records, which belongs to Jeff Mills, one of the most respected international electronic music artists, and also a passionate explorer of these themes.

Thanks to the support of Ximo Noguera and his platform Industrial Complexx, I managed to release what is, to date, my most experimental and daring work. In it, I use tools like microtonality, resampling, all kinds of synthesis, and every other bizarre audio processing technique you can imagine, with the sole purpose of destroying the sound and then reconstructing it in each track on the album. This approach attacks different genres within electronic music, such as Techno, Electro, and approximations to EBM and IDM, etc.
I undoubtedly learned a great deal from this project, and I definitely managed to find my own sound within music. This has nothing to do with tonalities, textures, or even rhythms, but rather with the way I work, process, and reprocess all these elements together without needing to adapt to a specific audience or trend.
It was quite an experience, one I'd like to repeat at some point.
