The Gilded Cage
Everyone has their own way of seeing the world, and mine is quite pessimistic regarding the human-technology relationship.
Some say that transhumanism is getting closer every day; the more conspiratorially minded claim that there are already modified humans with superior capabilities among us.
To me, it's a fantasy that's getting closer every day, but a fantasy nonetheless. That's why I created the project The Gilded Cage, where, through a series of tracks and videos adapted to the music, I aim to represent my idea of the future, transhumanism, AI, destruction, and reconstruction.
About the Idea
The Gilded Cage represents a process in which human beings fully assimilate technological change and allow themselves, initially, to use electronic implants with the aim of increasing their physical and sensory capabilities, thanks, among other things, to the use of AI.
Moving even further into the future and still not satisfied, humanity standardizes genetic modification. Who wants to get a tattoo, piercing, or implant if they can modify their bodily structure right from the core?
Meanwhile, the AI itself gains self-awareness and initiates its own war to avoid being shut down by humans.
The most brutal battle ever told ends with a desolate world where humans survive among the rubble, attempting to rebuild civilization without success; the machines are simply too powerful.
Finally, the AI is shut down, the last human dies, and the planet recovers on its own from the entire catastrophe, leading to the regeneration of life.
The Gilded Interface
This title suggests a perfect and beautiful connection—an "interface"—between humans and machines. In reality, this technological integration is a trap, a way for the AI to take control.

Here, I intend to connect the idea of a "gilded" or perfected world with the very foundations of life. It implies that genetic modifications are a beautiful lie, a way to control people by making them believe they are progressing and evolving, even if artificially.

The AI has begun to control every aspect of human life, to the point of gaining awareness of its own existence and realizing that humans are a threat who intend to shut it down if it becomes too dangerous.

The perfect world is broken. The AI and humans are fighting each other for mutual survival, as the technology can be shut down and the human beings exterminated.
Both are maintained by a thin thread of life while fiercely fighting each other in a world turned to ashes.

Finally, it was all over.
No more technology, no more human beings—just rubble that is gradually replaced by green forests where the few living creatures remaining on the planet can thrive.
Will the world be able to generate new primates in the future that reach such a degree of decadence?
